Television is rather a frightening business. But I get all the relaxation I want from my collection of model soldiers.

The Ruins of Shadespire

It goes against the grain for me to play a game without scenery and Shadespire is no different. So to finish the core set off I bought some simple hexes from eBay and raided the bits box.

There's really nothing special about the construction or painting here: it really is just junk thrown together. The only actual modelling was cutting and filling the statue and making the flagstones for the statue base out of sheet styrene.

Anyway, the set is now complete and I'm fairly happy. Time to see if the game is any Good!

  1. Wow, I love it. Really beautiful pieces. But now you need a full 3D board! :D

    1. Thank you. Mainly coffee stirrers and left overs!

  3. Those have come together very nicely! Hope you enjoy the game, after all that effort. My boys and I have been having lots of fun with it, although the Reavers can be tricky to play well.
