It goes against the grain for me to play a game without scenery and Shadespire is no different. So to finish the core set off I bought some simple hexes from eBay and raided the bits box.
There's really nothing special about the construction or painting here: it really is just junk thrown together. The only actual modelling was cutting and filling the statue and making the flagstones for the statue base out of sheet styrene.
Anyway, the set is now complete and I'm fairly happy. Time to see if the game is any Good!
Wow, I love it. Really beautiful pieces. But now you need a full 3D board! :D
ReplyDeleteI am trying to resist that temptation!
DeleteThat looks absolutely superb, you must have an awesome bits box!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Mainly coffee stirrers and left overs!
DeleteThose have come together very nicely! Hope you enjoy the game, after all that effort. My boys and I have been having lots of fun with it, although the Reavers can be tricky to play well.
ReplyDeleteMy wife is going to be my test pilot ;)
DeleteI’ve heard good things about it, but your new scenery will really add to it!
ReplyDeleteFantastic stuff Herbert! I've held off getting into Shadespire thus far, but your not helping with my willpower!
ReplyDeleteWhat Suber said ... wow indeed!
